Why full-dimension only?
Plates sold at the box store are cut for nominal 2× lumber. Full-dimension timber needs plates sized for real 5.5", 7.5", 9.5", and 11.5" widths. We size every hole and outline for the actual lumber.
Cut in house
Every plate is cut on our CNC plasma in Henderson, TN. No middleman, no minimum order surprises, and custom runs ship in 2–4 weeks.
Pre-drilled and labeled
Bolt patterns are pre-drilled and parts are labeled to match the truss or pavilion drawings — no field layout required.
Engineered when needed
Standard plates carry typical residential loads. Stamped engineering for commercial spans is available on request.

- What lumber sizes do your steel plates fit?
- Our standard plates are cut for full-dimension 6×6, 8×8, 10×10, and 12×12 timber — the actual rough-cut sizes, not nominal 2× lumber. Custom plates can be cut to fit other dimensions.
- What gauge steel do you use?
- Standard production is 10-gauge mild steel. Heavier 1/4" plate is available for custom king-post trusses and high-load applications.
- Are your plates pre-drilled?
- Yes. Every standard plate ships with pre-drilled bolt patterns ready for 1/2" or 5/8" through-bolts. Pattern is matched to the timber size.
- Do you offer custom plate fabrication?
- Yes. Send a sketch or DWG and we'll quote a custom run. Most custom plates ship in 2–4 weeks.
- What finish do the plates ship with?
- Standard finish is raw mild steel ready for site paint or powder coat. Black powder coat is available as an upgrade.
- Do you ship plates nationwide?
- Yes. Smaller orders ship UPS; pallet orders ship LTL freight to all 48 contiguous states.
